Inclement Weather

If your company closes or you choose to stay home, please contact Alice and Lola’s Pet Sitting Service at 703-568-1960, no later than 8am in order to allow time for your service to be cancelled and avoid being charged for that day’s service.   In the event of inclement weather, we will make every effort to get to your home. However, if the weather is extremely severe and we are unable to safely make it your home, please have alternate pet care arrangements. If the Federal Government is closed, all midday dog walks will be cancelled for that day.

Payment Arrangements

For monthly dog walking contracts, payments are due the first day of the month or the first day in the month, service will be provided. For vacation pet sitting visits, overnight stays and in home pet sitting payments are to be paid in full the first day the service begins.  Accepted payment methods are money orders or checks made payable to Alice and Lola’s Pet Sitting Service, left in a general area to be picked up by the pet sitter.  No cash, please.

Bad Check Policy

A $35 fee is assessed on all returned checks. All fees are due promptly and must be via money order or cash only.

Additional Fees

There will be a $20 delivery fee if Alice and Lola’s Pet Sitting Service needs to pick up supplies for your pet(s).  Please remember to leave adequate food for all your pet’s needs.

Business Hours

Mid-day walks are between 10:00AM - 4:30PM (Monday - Friday) Pet sitting visits are between 7:00am and 9:00pm

Holidays

We  consider the following to be  major annual holidays: New Year's Eve, New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and  Christmas Eve Day. There is a $20 surcharge plus the standard charge for the service being provided on these dates. This additional surcharge goes directly to your pet sitter as incentive to be available to care for your pets during these holidays. 

Key Pick-up and Return Policy

There is a $15.00 charge for each key pick-up and return occurrence (after the initial consultation).
